Scarcity of petroleum in idiroko,resident laments

The Federal government policy on suspension of petroleum within 20 kilometer to border area has led to scarcity of petroleum in Idiroko border, Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State Resident living in this areas has displayed their frustration and make their dismay know the government, as they are suffering because of the policy and it has affected the financial economic in this area. Govs didn't carry us along on operation amotekun-south west senetors

senates representing south west says they are not carry along by the governors in the geopolitical zone before,during and after the inauguration of the security outfit,operation amotekun. The senators also express their concern on how the state chief executive handle the project. They wonder why the governors didn't seek for their opinion before they decided to launch the initiative. The Deputy Leader of the Senate, who is also the Chairman of the South-West caucus in the red chamber, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice,said on Monday that his colleagues were not part of the Amotekun arrangement. Boroffice said, “Personally, I read about it (Operation Amotekun) in the print media. “I am also not aware that the South-West caucus of the Senate was briefed officially. I am the Chairman, Senate South-West Caucus.”

Governors in the south west zone has flagged-off the operation of the western Nigeria security network "amotekun", stressing that it would complement the mainstream security agencies in the country.
